Hearty laughter is a good way to jog internally without having to go outdoors. – Norman Cousins

I’ll avoid going down the list of ALL the things that make being a working mom hard.  Quite frankly, you are full on familiar with what such a list would look like and it would take too long to compile.  Instead, let’s laugh at our trials and tribulations instead.

I caught wind of another great Twitter hashtag (thanks workingmother.com):

#workingmomproblems

Will go through all of them because this subject of great interest to me. Yesterday I had three moms attending a training program that I was conducting. And during one of the breaks they were laughing their hearts out while discussing cooking and food. And they made me smile.

I love these twitter posts! I have definitely been down the road of the printer paper ordeal. Our printer was located in the playroom at one point and I would constantly be printing out my presentations over my daughters’ drawings. I have also found Polly pocket dolls in my briefcase when my girls were younger. They came tumbling out on the conference room table in front of 4 meeting attendees. Hard to get mad at them though. 🙂 I often find that normal people on Twitter can be some of the funniest. That made me laugh today. Being a guy I call it #dadlife.

Anyone who’s ever been a working mom can relate to these. We try to do it all, but inevitably there are times where perfection isn’t possible. I’ve taught college classes with two different shoes on—same shoes, different colors because Hey, when you find comfy work shoes, you buy them in every color they come in.

The best way through it all is to laugh – I’m out the other side now, but these tweets took me right back to the thick of it!

The shoe ones are so funny, but it can be like that for some of my mommy friends lol. Working moms deserve a ton of credit

I had to laugh at these. I see so many on Twitter as well. I was reading one the other morning about a mom’s toddler wanting gravy on her hash browns and the tantrum of a pint size dictator who suddenly decided she hated ketchup. I mean, how dare mom offer the child something she normally enjoys?! It’s just rude. Lol. These are things I think there’s no choice but to laugh at. Because they’re relatable, but if nobody could laugh at these moments, we’d all go insane.
